PROFILE
With
an eye to look beyond the perceptual construct of an artist, Ghulam
Mustafa Farooqi’s work can be described as nonconformist. It overlaps
the boundaries of traditional and modern art.
He
has 37 years experience in Commercial Art/Graphic
Designing, Indoor and Outdoor Photography, Printing, Technical methods of
reproduction and Fine Arts.
His
Paintings
depict the Pakistani life in its different hues and colours, as he draws
his inspiration from our rich cultural heritage. “Immigration
of 1947”, “Village Acrobats” and “Kashmiri Refugees”
are some of his masterpieces.
His
Calligraphy is
a subtle blend of solid colours and geometrical
shapes. Furthermore, Farooqi has
created a wonder by inscribing the entire Kalma on a single piece of
rice…
Farooqi
believes that
Graphic
Art should speak the language of
the intended audience. Working in the capacity of an Art Director in
different Ad Agencies, he has designed promotional material for the Armed
Forces, Multinational Companies, Government of Pakistan, NGOs, etc... |
